Greenkeeping Report July 2019

The start of July was extremely busy for us with captains day followed by the club championship the next week. We’ve had a few extra jobs to do this month, we’ve started to clean up the trees again by removing all the low limbs. This is an important job as it , helps us with cutting around the trees, gives golfers fair shots from the trees and finally makes the trees look more presentable. The other job was clearing the pond on the 14th of algae. This was a big job that needed doing as it was taking over the pond. When removing the algae, we stumbled across loads of newts, this was an unexpected but great find. As we were clearing the pond out we decided to relocate them to our other pond on the 8th to give them the best chance of survival.
